20 Things to do in Edinburgh, Scotland Travel Guide of the Best Attractions Video Transcription:
Our week in Edinburgh was packed with action! We tried Scotch gin and whiskey, wandered through narrow locks, faced the crowds on the Royal Mile, ate our haggis and even visited a castle, a palace and an abbey. So, if you are looking for things to do in Edinburgh on your visit, this video guide will show you all those attractions and then some!
Edinburgh Castle is hard to miss as it overlooks the city skyline. The first thing you should know about the castle is that it is not just a single building, so once you are in there it is quite a bit to see and do; You can visit the Royal Palace, see the Crown Jewels, see the gun firing of the one, enter the Chapel of St. Margaret, visit the National War Museum and much more, so give yourself time.
We also made time to visit the famous Royal Mile, which is the busiest street in Edinburgh's Old Town. There is a bit to see along here, so we first appeared in the Royal Mile Market, which is inside an old church, and from there we continued down the street, visiting small souvenir shops along the way. You will not have trouble finding a kilt here!
Another activity we really enjoyed was taking a food tour with Eat Walk Edinburgh. We got to try lots of delicious snacks and drinks along the way, and one of the highlights was visiting the Fugde House.
Another fun way to explore Edinburgh on foot is by strolling through the tiny straits. These little alleys were often named after a memorable occupant, and the old town is full of them.
And that's it for our visit to Edinburgh, Scotland. We hope you enjoyed following our trips and that this video gave you some ideas of things to do, food to try and places to visit around the city. As always, if you have any other suggestions of things to do in Edinburgh, feel free to share them with other travelers in the comments section below. Until next time!
